The Endless Mural

So I started this mural while working at the church it resides in. I was only about 1/4 of the way through when I was offered a wonderful career opportunity that I couldn't pass up. I didn't want to leave it unfinished, so Michael and I go once a week for a few hours to work on it. It has been over a year now since it began and it still isn't finished! I don't mind though- the kids love it and it has been a great way to stay connected to them. I'll put up detailed photos eventually. Until then, here is the progress:

I guess if you have the time to wait for one! Remember, we've been working on it about 3hrs a week for a year! hehehe

It actually isn't done. I worked there when it was started so I could paint all the time, but now I have a 40+ hr a week gig and I can only get into the church on Sundays to paint. Someday though. And yes, it is huge. We can't fit the whole thing in the frame of the camera. We'll measure it for the next update. :)

I should also add that it is a volunteer project at this point. I don't feel right charging for something that I don't have a realistic schedule to work on, so the remainder of the mural has been a gift to the children's dept.
